Thanks for visiting my blog today! We are being highlighted internationally by Kylie Bertucci and you are able to VOTE for my project. The top ten winners will get to be part of an international blog hop so please vote for my project. You can do that HERE.
Our theme for this highlight is encouragement as we all need a kind word said to give us a boost from time to time. I have chosen the Monarch Butterfly for this theme as it is a universal symbol of potential. We all have so much potential and sometimes it helps to be reminded of it. I am giving a framed art piece to my sister today that relates to this same theme. You can see that project here.
My project for today is a set of three note cards which I have left sentiment free. This will allow the giver to write their own personal message inside the card.
Sometimes I just can not make up my mind which way to go as far as embellishments go or which designer series paper to choose! To save time I often just make several different versions of the same card. It works well because I can get on and make the cards and the end result becomes a set.
So, this was the case today. I could not decide on the paper or the ribbon so I did the card three ways. I will let you decide which one you prefer. Please leave me a comment below to tell me which one you like best.
They all feature the new Falling in Love Designer Series Paper from the 2017 Occasions Catalogue and the Butterflies Thinlits Dies. This paper is simply devine. I know I will use every little bit of it and I can see myself having to order several more packs!
In this first card I have chosen to team up the cute wee wooden hearts new Sending Love Embellishments with the Burlap Ribbon and the Very Vanilla Lace Trim. I think the Burlap goes nicely with the wood.
For the next card I have chosen a different print from the pack and used the large pearls instead of the wooden heart. This print is just gorgeous in our lovely Soft Sky colour.
For the last card I have gone with the new Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon and the Falling in Love Embellishments. Again these are both in the new 2017 Occassions Catalogue. You will be able to order from this catalogue from January 4th.
These embellishments are just beautiful!
Here are the supplies I used. Click on an image to view in my online store:
