Butterfly Frame

Yes I have had the Butterflies Thinlits Dies out again today! One of my favourites. My sister is arriving from Australia and I wanted to make her a card to go with this framed art that I made her for her birthday. You can see that card here. While I was wrapping it up I thought I might write a quick post and share it with you.

I made two of these back in September. I gave one to my mother-in-law for her birthday and I saved one for my sister. They are both people who have everything and those types of people can be hard to buy for. But, lucky for me they are both people who appreciate the time taken to make a handmade gift. So I hope my sister likes this frame as much as my mother-in-law did. I take it as a good sign that it is still on display in her living room, ha ha.

It co-ordinates with the Butterflies Thinlits Dies beautifully and there some lovely images that work beautifully for both stamping and colouring.

The stamping on the basic black was done in craft whisper white ink . For this one I added some texture by embossing the extra white layer of cardstock with the boho chic textured embossing folder.

I got the frame on special at NOOD. I wasn’t able to keep the glass in the frame on this occasion so when it gets dusty I will just replace it for them with something fresh.

Don’t you just love the sentiment?! We all have so much potential. Sometimes it helps to be reminded of it.
