Happy Fathers Day to all the wonderful fathers out there! I hope you are all having a fabulous day. This card is for my husband’s Dad who is sharing this day with his lovely wife’s 80th birthday. We are so blessed to have them in our lives.
We also remember all the special Dad’s that are no longer with us. My thoughts are always with my Dad but especially today. He is sadly missed by my Mum and our family. He was the life and soul of any party and I can hear his laugh now as if he were in the room.
Well I certainly did enjoy making this card!! It can be a challenge to find a masculine theme but not so with the new paisleys and petals DSP in the 2016 Holiday Catalogue. Who would have thought that such a pretty paper could have such a mix of options to have something so appropriate for Father’s Day?
As always I just totally love that our DSP matches our card stock so perfectly. The card base I used is Cajun Craze and then I double matted it with Mint Macaron. It just brings out the colour in the intricate pattern of the paper. The Delightful Dijon striped ribbon is a perfect accent under the sentiment that I stamped in the co-ordinating Soft Suede and Cajun Craze inks. Isn’t it so cool that the ink is exactly the same colour as the paper??? Then layering it all up with our layering oval framelits and then popping a layer up with Stampin Dimensionals.
Now what do you give a man that has everything??? Well we know he loves to read so we popped a matching book mark in with the card. I secretly like the idea that he will think of us when ever he uses it.
Here are the supplies used. Click on an image to view online.

I hope you enjoyed this idea and thanks for visiting Jazzy Stamping!
