Another totally awesome colour challenge from the Colour Inkspiration Team! Some might find these colours a challenge for CI04 but the inspiration board has a picture of pansies on it. I think pansies are so cute! We let them self seed in our vege garden and add them to salads. But, would you believe I have never made a pansy with my Pansy Punch? So I could not wait to make this card for this challenge.
The Pansy Punch is so clever! It’s an easy way to make super cute pansy flowers with perfect petals. It also gives you a lot of other floral looks especially when paired with the co-ordinating Flower Shop stamp set.
I had to look at some older pictures on Pinterest to find out how to make them and a few Youtube videos and then I sort of combined everything I had learned and improvised with what I had. The best video I saw was on a channel called TheStampCamp. You can see the video here.
To make these pansies all you do is punch out your flowers with the Pansy Punch. You need just two flowers. I used one of each colour per flower. Then cut out each of the largest of the petals. I used two of the largest petals from the Elegant Eggplant flower and three from the Crushed Curry flower. I used my bone folder to give the petal shape and then sponged the edges of the Crushed Curry with Crushed Curry ink. I added wink of Stella before adhering all the petals onto a small punched circle of card stock with glue dots. A large Rhinestone Basic Jewel gives the pansy its centre. Then look is complete with the lines hand drawn with the Elegant Eggplant Stampin’ Write marker. Very cute. I am looking forward to making some more in all sorts of other colours. They will be gorgeous for Mother’s Day I think!
