This is the first time I have made gift boxes for a table setting since my wedding. This year we are having Christmas dinner at our place. There are only eight of us so we can have a sit down meal and I thought these little boxes would be a nice addition to the table.
I made the biggest size box I could using the gift box punch board. I cut of the flaps leaving a folding tab. The lid was cut separately and attached to one of the flaps.
I was so happy the star fitted just perfectly into the silver foil layer for the top while still leaving enough of an edge to use for my layer piece.
Then I filled them with chocolates and they will be set on the plates on Christmas Day. It will jazz up the table just nicely I think!
