We made this beautiful card in my card classes this week in Cambridge. You can’t go wrong with Butterflies! They suit almost any occasion. For this card I took my inspiration from Jill Hilliard’s card. I just loved the fern from the Butterfly Basics stamp-set peeking through the circular window .
I really like the water colour look this set gives you that without the need to water colour. The results are perfect every time. It’s a three step stamp set so the colour combinations are endless.
I used whisper white thick cardstock for both the card base and the mat layer to give it strength. I cut the circle first and then embossed the texture. Placing the card mat down on the card base I marked around the top of the circle with a pencil to use as a guide to stamp the fern leaves. I rubbed the pencil lines out before adhering the card mat down with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I love how this card turned out!
